Jeuveau’s main ingredient is botulinum toxin A, the same ingredient in Botox, Xeomin and Dysport. While all these neuromodulators work similarly to smooth frown lines, each formula is slightly different. Jeuveau was the most recently FDA-approved neuromodulator of these four brands. It was approved in 2019 – with a highly purified version of the neurotoxin. For some individuals, Jeuveau injections may work better than the other options for smoothing dynamic lines and wrinkles.
Frown Line and Wrinkle Treatment
Jeuveau injections are a quick and safe option for smoothing existing glabellar lines (11’s), furrow lines and crow’s feet. The treatment only takes about 15 minutes, and there is no need for recovery or downtime afterward. The relaxation of the dynamic wrinkles can take 3-4 days to appear, with results lasting 3-4 months.
There are many younger patients that are beginning to use Jeuveau injections to address lines and wrinkles when they first begin to appear. Patients in their late 20’s and 30’s may benefit from Jeuveau injections to help slow frown lines and other wrinkles from appearing, keeping their face looking youthful.
